Setup Gmail Client

Setting up Email Account on Gmail

In order to send and receive email using Gmail, you need to setup your account as described below –

1) Login to Gmail by going to mail.google.com

2) Navigate to the 'Gear' icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.


3) In the 'Accounts and Import' tab, select the 'Add a mail account' button.


4) In the pop-up window, enter your desired Sermon Box Email address to import. Then click NEXT


5) Next, select the option to 'import emails from my other account'. Then click NEXT


6) Now enter your login credentials for the desired email account. 

USERNAME: Your entire email address

PASSWORD: Your password for the desired account

POP SERVER: pop.yourdomain.com

- Check "Leave a copy..."

- Check "Label incoming messages"

- Click "Add Account"


7) Now, select "Yes, I want to be able to send mail as..."

- Then Click NEXT


8)  Enter your name as you'd like the account to appear. Then ensure "Treat as an alias" is checked.

- Now Click NEXT


9) Enter the following credentials to send emails as the desired email account. 

SMTP SERVER: smtp.yourdomain.com

USERNAME: Your entire desired email address

PASSWORD: The associated password for your email account

- Now click ADD ACCOUNT


10) Now, check the email for the address you just added. You should have received an email from Gmail with a verification code. Enter that verification code to confirm you own the email account. Once this is done, the setup for this email account inside of Gmail is complete. Close the window and enjoy all of the features of Gmail.
